First teaching, Third period

Describe

On this teaching practice, I reviewed some verbs in past and the YES/NO questions in simple past. The main objective of the class was to help students to formulate and answer yes/no questions in the simple past, so I brought oral and written practices for them

The review started remembering the verbs in past used in the last classes, so students will refresh their memory, then a fill in the blanks with the missing verbs in the correct form (past). I continued with the grammar of the yes/no questions in simple past and then written practice of the questions followed with speaking practice.

As I know, students need to practice orally what they learned, so the longest activity was the speaking practice. I wanted the students to ask questions to each other so they put the theory into practice. Students had fun while asking the questions and finding out facts about their classmates with questions thay they formulated.

In the future, I plan to make students to be more talkative. I willbring more and more speaking practices so they can use the class time for speaking and not much writing. It is better to practice with speaking activities because in the real world they will speak more than they will write...

  1. Good, Eduardo. I really agree with you in that it is very essential to bring speaking activities; so, students get some time to produce the target language. Also, speaking activities are very interactive and amusing; and it is pretty good because that makes them enjoyable,
